You can securely check out with most major payment methods, including PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Amex and more.
Most modern smartphones and some tablets support eSIM technology. Check your device’s settings or manuato see if it has eSIM capabilities.
To check if your phone supports eSIMs, you can follow these steps:
iPhone:
– Go to Settings > General > About
– Scroll down to the SIM or Carrier Lock section
– If you see an IMEI number or “No Sim Restrictions,” your phone supports eSIMs
Android (instructions may vary based on phone model):
– Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager
– Look for the Add eSIM option
– If you see this option, your phone supports eSIMs
You can activate your Rockee eSIM by scanning the QR code we sent your email. If you can’t find it, please check your email’s Spam folder and, once you do find it, add Rockee to your trusted contacts.
Please contact us if you’re unable to scan a QR code and need manual installation instructions.
No worries! We also provide a manual activation method. Just reach out to us and we can provide you with instructions.
Unfortunately eSIMs cannot be installed by clicking a link – you either have to scan the QR code, which contains specific installation instructions for your phone – or manually install the eSIM by copy and pasting the provided codes.
If you don’t want to manually install the eSIM, you can open the QR code from another device, like a desktop computer or a tablet, and scan the code from there.
You could also share a screenshot of the QR code with a friend and then scan it from their screen, but be careful who you share with as they could use the QR code to install the eSIM themselves.
Finally, some phones (like newer iPhones) will let you install an eSIM from your phone’s photo library. To do that, take a screenshot of the QR code and save it to your phone’s photo library. Then, open the photo and long-press on it until the “install eSIM” dialog pops up.
No. eSIMs can only be installed on devices that are both eSIM-compatible and network unlocked.
You will need to contact your mobile carrier to unlock your device. Please also note that some carriers disable eSIM support for a period of time after unlocking for security reasons. You will need to check with your mobile carrier about this as well.
Carrier locking is most common in the United States on phones that are under contract, not owned outright.
This is a common error message when there are already too many eSIMs installed on your phone. Most device manufacturers limit the number of eSIMs you can have installed at once, even if they are already expired.
To fix this, delete old & expired eSIMs from your device and try installing your Rockee eSIM again.
Different plans cover different countries. Please review the plan details, each of which include a full list of the supported countries.
This may automatically disable and permanently destroy your eSIM! Be very careful not to connect in non-covered countries. Unfortunately when this happens, Rockee may incur a roaming charge from our telco partners and we have no way to re-enable these eSIMs.
If you are transiting through an airport in a non-covered country, make sure that you turn the eSIM off before you arrive there.
We are unable to provide any refund if you connect in a non-covered country.
There are various ways to check data usage that vary by plan provider. It’s also common for these plans to have a 2-3 day lag time in updating usage data back to us.
For those reasons, we highly recommend tracking your data usage locally on your device. Both iPhone and Android devices have settings to track data usage locally. If you’re unsure how to do that, just send us a message with your device type and we can send you specific instructions.
Make sure your device is connected to WiFi when you first activate the eSIM. It may show that it was not activated until you first connect to the local network in your
new location, but don’t worry – it was activated!
If you are still having trouble connecting after activating and physically being in the new location, check to see if Data Roaming is turned on in the Settings under your new eSIM.
If you are still having trouble, please fully power cycle your device. Toggling Airplane Mode won’t help. Please power down the device, wait a few moments and turn it back on.
If you’re still having trouble please contact us and we’ll get you back on track as soon as possible.
This is a known issue for iOS and iPhones. This usually happens when you have installed an eSIM but haven’t yet arrived at your destination country or region.
Nothing to worry about! The eSIM is actually fully installed, even if iOS displays “activating” or “activation failure.” The process will finish immediately when you reach your destination and are within the network coverage area.
Absolutely! You can switch between Rockee eSIM plans any time through our website by buying a new plan. Just uninstall the old eSIM when you’re done with it and install the new one.
Network speed is dependent of several factors, like coverage, congestion or prioritization of the local carrier.
If you continue to experience slow network speeds, please ensure your APN settings are correct*. You can also try toggling your connection to 3G only temporarily and/or toggling airplane mode on and off.
You can also try physically moving to a new location (like outside of a building or to a more populated area) or power cycling your phone (do a full power down, wait a few moments and then power back on).
Finally, if the eSIM you selected supports multiple networks, you can try switching to a different mobile network.
* APN Settings:
Some eSIMs require you to manually update your APN name. If this was mentioned in the installation instructions, please ensure that you’ve followed those instructions and updated the APN name on your device.
Not usually. Most eSIMs are locked to the device they are installed on and are also permanently destroyed when removed from that device.
Absolutely. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Your privacy and security are our top priorities.
Additionally, Rockee has no access to see how you use your eSIM, what websites you visit or apps you use. We can see how much data has been used, but not what it was used for.
We aim for 100% satisfaction. If you’re having issues, please reach out so we can make it right. Refund eligibility may depend on the plan’s usage and duration.
For example, some plans can be refunded within 3 days of purchase and so long as they have not been installed or activated yet.
We are unable to provide refunds for violations of the plans’ terms. For example, if you connected in a non-covered country or if you went over your data allotment.
We accept a variety of payment methods, including credit/debit cards and some digital wallets. Just choose your preferred method at checkout.
